Ingredients
2 tbsp. ginger root, peeled, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup shallot or small red onion, chopped
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 cup chicken stock
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp. sweet vinegar or mirin sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in water
Directions, Heat a small saucepan on medium heat, then combine the chicken stock, soy sauce, mirin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, onion, pepper together and bring its to boil.
Simmer until it melts about 5-10 minutes. Taste the mixture and adjust if necessary.
